The new president of Ukraine, irrespective of who will hold this position, will continue his policy of approximation of Ukraine to the EU and NATO.

This opinion was expressed by the Minister of the Office of the President of Poland Lech Kaczynski on international issues of Mariusz Handzlik told to UNIAN.

“We have no such concern,” - he said, commenting on the possible refusal of the new president of the Euro-Atlantic course for a more active part in integration projects with Russia.

He called the acting head of the Ukrainian government Yulia Tymoshenko and opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych’s “pro-Ukrainian” politicians who realize that “Ukraine has no other place than in Europe.”

The minister said that Poland, which since 2004 has been included to the European Union, will continue to support the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Ukrainians.

“Poland does not see a united Europe without Ukraine”, - he said.

Handzlik also noticed that the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly proved to be reliable partners, including taking part in military missions in Afghanistan and the Balkans, as well as support for the sovereignty of Georgia during the military conflict with Russia in August 2008.

“These are very significant facts that the world will not forget,” - he said.

At the same time, the Minister Office of the President of Poland said that the Ukrainian government for Euro-Atlantic integration should perform a significant amount of work that can not make nobody, except the Ukrainians themselves.
