Polish Sejm ratified an agreement with the United States of America (USA) on the deployment of U.S. military and elements of a missile defense system (NMD) in Poland. The deputies voted almost unanimously for this.
According to “5 channel”, since 2012, Washington will have had in Poland a permanent military base of missiles “Patriot”, and in the future - the SM-3 missiles, which are part of a defense system against ballistic missiles.
The agreement provides that the U.S. military will be required to adhere to Polish legislation and in case of violations - to account for to Polish courts.
Within the agreements between the countries, the U.S. will provide missiles “Patriot” for the army of Poland. Weapons are promised to be delivered in the first quarter of this year.
We remind that the Supreme Military Council of Romania had previously approved the plan to deploy elements of U.S. missile defense system in the country.
