Famous Polish ski jumper Adam Malysz announced the end of his sports career, reports AFP.
33-year-old Pole, made a statement of his withdrawal from the big sport after he had participated in the World Championship in Oslo.
Austrian Gregor Shlirentsauer won in the competition in Norwegian capital, the second was his compatriot Thomas Morgenstern, the third - Swiss Simon Amman, and Adam Malysz was 11th.
“It was my last World Championship. It’s hard to tell my fans about this decision, but it was made long ago”- said Malysz.
During his career, Malysz won four World Championships and was the owner of the World Cup also 4 times. At the Olympic Games, Pole has won three silver medals and one bronze. In 2011, Malysz was declared “Sportsman of the Decade” in Poland.
