Euro 2012

European football championship will be the first tournament to be held in Central and Eastern Europe, and more precisely, in Poland and Ukraine.

This will be the third time when the finals will be hosted by two countries.

Previously it was done by the Netherlands and Belgium in 2000, and Austria and Switzerland - in 2008.

Euro 2012 matches will be held at eight venues.

Ukrainian host cities are as follows: Donetsk, Kiev, Lviv and Kharkiv.

Host cities in Poland: Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw.

Warsaw - the capital of Poland with the population of 1.7 million people.

It is in the Polish capital, where the greatest fan zone of Euro 2012 will be organized, it will be able to accommodate one hundred thousand fans!

The city will hold 3 matches of group A (the opening match as well), quarterfinals and semifinals.

Wroclaw is considered the most Gothic city of Poland (according to its architecture) among all cities hosting Euro 2012 matches.

Besides European football championship, a lot of interesting events will be held there in the summer, and it is definitely worth seeing!

Wroclaw is called “Polish Venice” and the city of hundred bridges, it is located on 12 islands of the river Odra, connected by bridges. It is considered one of the greenest cities in the country.

Gdansk is the economic center of Poland.

The city has received its status in the Middle Ages, as the major port was located there. The stadium of the city will hold three group matches and quarter-finals.

Poznan ranks fifth in size among the cities of Poland.

The city is beautiful, its modern style is perfectly combined with the architectural monuments.

The opening match of EURO 2012 is scheduled for June 8 and will take place in Warsaw, and the final will be held in Kiev on July 1.

Euro 2012 tickets are sold only on behalf of UEFA.

That means that no other company, agency or broker has the right to sell tickets. Beware of fakes.

Ukrainian and Polish venues are ready for Euro 2012.
